कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मी
Recited on seeing one's hands after waking up. Invokes the three goddesses dwelling in the three parts of the hand.
When to recite: Every morning upon waking, before rising from bed
कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मीः कर-मध्ये सरस्वती। कर-मूले तु गोविन्दः प्रभाते करदर्शनम्॥
At the tip of the hand dwells Lakshmi; in the middle of the hand dwells Saraswati; At the root of the hand dwells Govinda — in the morning one should behold one's hands.
