श्री बल्लालेश्वर मंदिर, पाली
Ballaleshwar is the third temple to be visited in the Ashtavinayak circuit. It is the only incarnation of Lord Ganesha that is named after his devotee (Ballal).
Mythology
A young boy named Ballal was an ardent devotee of Ganesha. His devotion annoyed his merchant father, who tied him to a tree and beat him mercilessly. Despite the torture, Ballal kept chanting Ganesha's name. Pleased by his unshakeable devotion, Ganesha appeared, healed his wounds, and granted his wish to stay in Pali forever. The deity took the name Ballaleshwar (the Lord of Ballal).
