Mythology
Built to enshrine the relics of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, the great 19th-century mystic. The architecture was conceptualized by Swami Vivekananda himself to incorporate elements from Hindu temples, Islamic mosques, and Christian churches, embodying Sri Ramakrishna's teaching "Yato mat, tato path" (As many faiths, so many paths).
