रजरप्पा छिन्नमस्तिका मंदिर
It is considered a highly potent Shakti Peetha and a major center for Tantric worship in eastern India. The Goddess is worshipped as Chhinnamasta (the severed-headed goddess), one of the ten Mahavidyas.
Mythology
The fierce form of the Goddess depicts her holding her own severed head in one hand and a scimitar in the other. Three jets of blood spurt from her bleeding neck and are drunk by her severed head and her two attendants (Dakini and Varnini). She stands on the copulating bodies of Kamadeva and Rati, symbolizing the subjugation of desire.
