तिरुपरनकुण्ड्रम सुब्रमण्य स्वामी मंदिर
Thiruparankundram is the first of the Arupadai Veedu. It is considered highly auspicious for marriages, as it is the very place where Murugan married Devasena (Deivanai), the daughter of Indra.
Mythology
After defeating the demon Surapadman, Lord Murugan arrived at Thiruparankundram. Indra, the king of the gods, offered his daughter Devasena in marriage as a token of gratitude. The divine wedding was attended by all gods, making this a highly revered site for marital blessings. The temple also uniquely houses shrines of Shiva, Vishnu, Durga, Murugan, and Ganesha together, signifying harmony among various Hindu sects.
